This year has been one of the strangest, most crazy years I’ve experienced. Admittedly, it was pretty hard to stick to my goals and routines as the uncertainty of this pandemic swirled around me. I haven’t update my own story in awhile, but here it finally is.
I have been moving a bit more slowly as I’ve gotten closer to reaching my ultimate goal. But I have been able to achieve and surpass my next benchmark, which was to weigh under 180 pounds. I have achieved and surpassed that goal at this point, weighing in at 175 pounds currently.
There have been ups and downs, but that’s to be expected with a year like we have had. I’m thankful to say that I am back on track though, and more motivated than ever to finally reach my ultimate goal of somewhere around 150-160 pounds.
When I started my weightloss journey, I weighed in at almost 240 pounds. I had terrible joint pain and virtually no energy. Now, I am 65 pounds lighter. My joints and back are in much less pain, and I feel more energetic.
Virtual reality has been a HUGE factor in my success. But it’s important to note that my diet has also had a major role. My husband and I both have been doing low carb/no sugar. This is also an important factor in having less inflammation.
But when it does come to virtual reality, there are some very REAL workouts available. Without them, I don’t honestly think I would have been successful in getting this far, let alone still moving forward.
I actually look forward to my workouts each day, which is something that NEVER happened for me with traditional workouts. it may not be for everyone, but if it works for you, it really works.
During the time I’ve been using VR for exercise/health benefits, I’ve had the privilege of networking with others who have had similar success. Especially with the release of the Oculus Quest 2, more and more people are dipping their toes into the virtual reality world!
It’s exciting to hear others stories and progress. And I love seeing people experiencing virtual reality for the first time. I’m hoping to be able to share more subscriber stories in the near future.
With the addition of Supernatural into my routine, I’m hoping that I can make more steady progress toward my final goal. More importantly, I hope to use it to STAY at my goal weight and help keep at a healthy lifestyle.
